Y art is about capturing the expressiveness of life through the medium of oil paint. While I paint realistically, my goal has never been to merely copy or reproduce reality. Creation for me is all about the relationship between the artist and the subject. Every picture begins and ends working from life. Nature is my model and source material, along with my imagination. I feel I have achieved true art when the images I have created awaken a powerful emotional response in the viewer.
